UK Progress Atlas

About

How the Atlas works

UK Progress Atlas is an independent project tracking tangible changes to the United Kingdom’s infrastructure, environment, healthcare, science, culture and economy.

The Atlas combines an interactive map with a regularly updated news feed recording approvals, construction milestones, openings, deployments and other significant changes. The feed also covers qualifying UK investment, research, healthcare and nature restoration developments.

Project status

Completed refers to a project publicly reported as completed or functioning; Live indicates construction has begun; Approved indicates planning approval has been received. These are editorial categories rather than official designations.

Sources and selection

Projects and updates are drawn from publicly available sources, including government departments, regulators, companies, planning documents and research institutions. Source links are provided wherever available. The Atlas records specific developments rather than vague continuation stories.

The Atlas is not affiliated with the UK Government, a political party, a developer or a news organisation.
