Balnuith / Tealing battery storage
Apatura’s Balnuith project would create a 100-megawatt battery storage facility near Tealing in Angus. Scottish Government consent was granted in October 2024. The approved development would store electricity for later use, with the opening date still to be confirmed.[1]
Benefits
- The batteries would help the electricity network match variable renewable generation with demand from homes and businesses.
