Carrington 680 MW BESS
Carrington Storage is Statera’s 680MW, 1,360MWh battery project under construction at Trafford Low Carbon Energy Park. It is separate from Highview’s liquid-air plant and the proposed hydrogen facility.[1][2]
Current position
Construction began in autumn 2025. The operator continues to list the project as in construction; energisation is targeted for late 2027.
Project details
- Two hours of design storage at full power. The project reached financial close with £235 million of debt financing in November 2025.
