Hartmoor BESS

Hartmoor is Field’s 200 MW battery project near Hartlepool in north-east England.[1]

Current position

Field announced financial close and construction of Hartmoor in July 2026. It targets grid energisation in 2028.

Benefits

The battery is designed to store 800 MWh of energy. Envision supplies the battery system and H&MV Engineering delivers the balance of plant.

Field secures financing for 1 GWh of batteries at Keith and Hartmoor

Field announced financing and construction in July 2026 for the 39 MW / 200 MWh Keith battery in Moray and the 200 MW / 800 MWh Hartmoor battery near Hartlepool. The developer targets energisation in 2027 for Keith and 2028 for Hartmoor.
