JCB Rocester Manufacturing Upgrade
JCB is investing £100 million to modernise its Rocester manufacturing headquarters in Staffordshire. The programme was announced in October 2025 and was still under way in September 2026.[1][2]
Current position
JCB’s September 2026 update reiterated the existing £100 million programme and referred to new Staffordshire capacity coming on stream. It did not announce a separate new investment or confirmed opening date.
Benefits
- The programme includes a £60 million automated powder-paint plant and modernised machining, welding and cylinder-boring facilities. JCB says the investment supports its UK manufacturing workforce; its job figure describes existing jobs, not new positions.
