Kinmuck battery storage
Kinmuck is an approved battery storage facility beside Mill of Kinmuck Farm, north of Ellon in Aberdeenshire. It would be able to supply up to 105 megawatts of power to the electricity network. Scottish Government consent was granted in May 2025; an opening date has not been confirmed.[1]
Benefits
- By storing electricity and releasing it later, the project would help the grid manage changes in generation and demand.
