The offshore transport and storage network supporting HyNet. The marker represents its Douglas CCS hub, using the published platform coordinate converted from ED50 UTM zone 30N to WGS84. It does not depict the full pipeline network. Regional association follows the Point of Ayr connection in Wales.[1][2]

Current position

Liverpool Bay CCS completed installation of the Douglas CCS platform on 8 October. The purpose-built hub will receive captured industrial CO2 and distribute it to depleted offshore reservoirs through repurposed pipelines. Eni reports the wider network is approximately 50% complete; installation does not establish that CO2 storage is operating.
