Matrix Renewables’ Eccles battery is a separate Scottish Borders project from Zenobē’s nearby development.[1]

Current position

Matrix closed project financing for its Eccles battery in April 2026. Construction began in November 2025, with commercial operation expected in the third quarter of 2027.
