Momentum One Zero innovation centre

Queen’s University Belfast is expanding the ECIT innovation centre in the Titanic Quarter with new research laboratories, computing and collaboration space. The £37 million building forms part of the £70 million Momentum One Zero programme. Construction adds east and west extensions to the existing centre, rather than a separate campus.[1][2][3]

Current position

Momentum One Zero innovation centre remains under construction and is expected to open in 2027, according to Belfast City Council’s October City Deal update.

Benefits

  • Queen’s University Titanic Quarter campus; the expanded centre’s plot. Research labs, computing and innovation capacity justify inclusion independently of a blanket £50m construction-cost threshold.
