The Port of Liverpool upgrade expands storage and handling for steel and metals.[1]
Current position
The September 2025 announcement forms part of Peel’s shared £100 million national programme, rather than a separate £100 million allocation to Liverpool.
Benefits
- An initial £32 million adds 140,000 square feet of storage; further plans include a second automated steel-coil terminal.
