Royal Academy of Arts Expansion
The Royal Academy is expanding its Collection Gallery at Burlington Gardens, restoring the sense of the original double-height hall.[1][2]
Current position
The expansion was announced in October 2025, with temporary gallery and building closures to enable the work.
Benefits
- A 12-metre-high gallery and accessible mezzanine will allow more works, including larger pieces, to be displayed free of charge.
