Aegis Energy's Sheffield hub is a purpose-built charging and renewable-fuel site for commercial vans and trucks at Smithywood Business Park near the M1.[1]

Current position

Construction has started on the Sheffield hub, which Aegis Energy plans to open in spring 2027.

Benefits

At full build the hub is planned to provide 72 van bays, 30 truck bays, charging at up to 400 kW, HVO refuelling, overnight parking and driver welfare facilities.
The Sheffield site is intended as the first in a proposed UK network of 50 clean multi-energy hubs.

Construction starts on Sheffield commercial-energy hub

Work has started on Aegis Energy's first purpose-built commercial transport hub at Smithywood Business Park. The site is planned to open in spring 2027 with 72 van bays, 30 truck bays, charging at up to 400 kW, HVO refuelling and driver facilities.
