Statkraft Coylton expansion

Additional 100MW approved in August 2026, giving a 150MW site total. The initial 50MW is in commissioning and is a separate delivery stage. The owner confirms the uplift remains entirely within the existing battery site without a changed layout. Section 36 location plan COYL1-DM-XX-00-DP-XX-00 revision 01, 31 March 2025, identifies the battery platform south of Ayr Road; 450MW TEC is not battery capacity.[1][2]

Current position

An additional 100 MW at Coylton was consented in August 2026; the initial 50 MW phase was in final commissioning.

Benefits

  • Consent announced 12 Aug 2026; published Section 36 location plan for Coylton Greener Grid Park. Initial 50MW is a separate delivery stage; do not import 450MW TEC as battery size.
