Thurrock Storage is Statera’s large battery installation in Essex, providing flexible electricity storage for the grid.[1][2]
Current position
The battery entered operation in August 2025. The neighbouring flexible generation plant is a separate project.
Benefits
- 300 MW of power and 600 MWh of stored energy, equivalent to two hours at full output.
