Wanlip sewage-treatment works upgrade
Severn Trent is upgrading Wanlip Sewage Treatment Works in Leicestershire to increase wastewater treatment capacity and improve treatment performance.[1][2]
Benefits
- Severn Trent expects daily treatment capacity to rise from 135 million litres to 162 million litres. The project will improve phosphorus and ammonia removal and add storm storage to reduce spills into the River Soar.
