Battersea Power Station Restoration

The restoration of Battersea Power Station converted the former generating building into homes, offices, shops and visitor attractions. The restored building forms the second phase of the wider Battersea estate redevelopment.[1]

Current position

Work on the wider estate continues. Prospect Place South broke ground in September 2026, with about 300 homes, commercial space and a community hub targeted for completion in 2030. Revised plans for the remaining 16 acres envisage up to 3.2 million sq ft of mixed uses.

The restored power station

  • The building contains 254 apartments and 565,000 sq ft of offices, including Apple’s UK headquarters, alongside shops, public access and the Chimney Lift experience.
