Urban Development & Housing projects

“when we build, let us think that we build for ever.”

John Ruskin

Homes provide the stability on which family life, health and opportunity depend. Building more homes and renewing neighbourhoods can ease pressure on housing, connect people to work and services, and create streets and public spaces people want to use. The quality of development shapes daily life for generations.

Selection criteria

Coverage: Large housing schemes, urban regeneration and substantial water, civic and public-service facilities.

The existing housing news threshold is normally at least 1,500 homes in the named scheme or phase; smaller strategic regeneration cases need a recorded rationale. Affordable tenure is not an independent qualifying exception.

Exclusions: Small routine phases and totals borrowed from a wider masterplan to make a standalone phase appear larger.
