Beckton Riverside Regeneration

Beckton Riverside is a residential-led regeneration of 30 acres of former gasworks land on the Thames in east London, led by St William.[1][2]

Current position

The Mayor of London approved the hybrid masterplan, allowing St William to progress a £250 million remediation, infrastructure and enabling-works programme. Construction is expected from 2028.

Benefits

  • The approved first phase provides for 2,900 homes, a five-acre riverside park, public realm and 5,000 sq m of mixed-use space.
  • A remediation and enabling-works programme is intended to return heavily contaminated, long-derelict land to use.
