These are delivered works within the wider Transpennine Route Upgrade, not completion or energisation of the whole route. A further station closure is expected from Christmas Eve, with reopening planned for 1 February 2027.
Huddersfield’s 16-day Transpennine upgrade works are completed
Network Rail confirms completion of the 19 September–4 October Huddersfield works, including two new lines with more than two kilometres of track, track renewals and structures for future electrification.
